When we first came to Bromley Hall in 1963 there was virtually no garden. The one thing we did have in abundance was daffodils either side of what we now rather pretentiously call the long walk. They still flower profusely and were probably planted 20 or 30 years before we arrived. The Irish yews were planted in 1967 and were only 45 cms tall. Our friends thought that we would not see them grow to a reasonable height in our lifetime! How wrong they were. We now keep them wired at the top to stop them falling open.
Tulips
The Hot Bed now has lots of Tulip Olympic Flame and Holland's Glory to add colour at the start of the season.
